Praise Prayers - Holy StandardPrayer: Holy, holy! Worthy, worthy! -- You alone are to be lifted up on high, worshipped and glorified. My King, You are beautiful in all Your ways, pure and righteous - above all others. You are the Lamb of God I choose to worship! You loved me first without reservation -- even to the sacrifice on the Cross at Calvary. You reach out from heaven to this earth and willingly draw us to Yourself. You provide all our needs - and You charge us to trust in You and live a life of peace.
I bow before my King this day knowing You are here -- knowing You alone are worthy of my worship and praise. My heart quickens at the very real knowledge of Your Manifest Presence - and Your hope floods through my veins causing me to bow down and rejoice. There is none like You, Jesus - and this new day I ask You to transform my heart into Your likeness. I seek after You in all I do, think, and feel -- and I willingly lay down my life surrendering all for Your glory - and for the good of Your kingdom needs and Your kingdom people.
I do not have all the answers, Jesus -- and I never will! I do have a faith that increases exponentially and I have been blessed through Your Holy Spirit with a trust and a hope that can only be explained by His divine intervention in my life.
This morning I am literally charging up the mountain path -- avoiding all the switchbacks placed in my way. I am following after You, Jesus -- propelled along by the power of Your Holy Spirit. I am not seeking after reward, fame, security -- all the things the world values. I am seeking after love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and self control. I am looking out with renewed eyes, renewed hope, and my faith is being lifted up on eagle's wings.
How, my King, could I ever find words, emotions or feelings to thank You as You deserve to be thanked? How is it even possible to understand the depth of gratitude I have in my heart - it’s a mystery to me!
Somehow, my King, because You love and desire to use me, You are protecting, refining and transforming my heart through thanksgiving. I am living in the reality of the belief that "nothing is impossible with God" (Luke 1:37). I am surrounded by challenges that even a few short years ago would have caused me to run away -- yet in the middle of it all, I have Your peace -- which "transcends all understanding" (Philippians 4:7).
I believe, my King, that You have allowed me this great pursuit of a thankful life for a reason. I believe that many praying this prayer are in desperate need of a heart transplant. You charged me many years ago to mount my watchtower, listen, learn, and pray for those You bring to me. That is what I am doing this morning. I humbly bow my knee on behalf of my brothers and sisters, seeking Your Holy Spirit’s wisdom and power to guide this prayer. I pray each life being touched by You through this prayer would have their hearts transformed. I ask You to release them from bondage of anxiety, confusion, hopelessness, helplessness and despair. I ask You to gently remind them they were never intended to live a life overwhelmed by these counterfeit strategies. Help them to live free -- to live in peace -- to live purpose-filled live - and to reveal Christ in all they do.
You call us, my King, to a holy standard, pure motivations, unconditional love. You show us the path, and You reveal Yourself around every corner. You remind me constantly that I am as close to You as I want to be -- and that is my choice. Today I pray for those You send me to step up and step out into the deeper realization of a transformed life in Jesus. I ask You, Lord, to stir feelings in their hearts and spirits as they recognize the truth of Your manifest Presence.
I pray for the fruit of the Spirit to penetrate every fiber of their being. Wake Your people up -- restore their peace -- empower them through the power of the Holy Spirit within. Free them from fears, bondages of any kind -- and teach them Your ways! May all who pray this prayer be filled with worship to You our God. May they rejoice in You (Philippians 4:4–7) -- "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again - Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of god which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
I trust You, my King, to transform each soul for whom I pray - and as You do, I ask You to release them into the world -- wherever they serve -- with a renewed understanding of their place in Your Body and a deepening faith, hope and trust that will cast out all fears or anxieties. To You be the glory -- To You be the honor. You are our greatest treasure. Help us to put You first above all else, knowing without reservation that You provide for Your kids - and You came to save and restore.
Praise Prayers – Making it PersonalReflect: Pray, learn and listen to God’s "still small voice." One of the greatest treasures we have is the presence of the living God at work in our day to day lives. I challenge You to look deep within yourself to discover whatever trust, faith, or hope issue you have that is holding you back from living the life of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and self control which God promises us. I suspect this prayer is God’s heart attempting to draw us ever closer to His manifest Presence. He warns me often about my own desire to be close to Him. He desires us to come close, nestle against His great heart -- receive His love and His provision to accomplish what He wants us to accomplish. You will never fully get this unless you are putting intimacy with Him first above your job, ministry, and personal needs. He won’t force it! How big is your God? Do you have Him neatly boxed up with an iron ribbon because you desire comfort over revelation? Don’t miss out -- spend some time now in thankful praise. God always responds to a grateful heart.
